Crèche Worker

"Hi, I have been working in the crèche since 2011. Working with children gives me the perfect excuse to play and have fun all day and be fortunate enough to call it work. I am an avid reader and love both listening to and creating music, as well as art and getting messy, which luckily for me are all things that cross over well to working with children."

Ezra BurnetteEzra Burnette

Manager - Holistic Health Therapies and Phoenix Project

"What I enjoy best is the face-to-face contact with our clients and practitioners, and being allowed to witness the transformation our services can bring to women's day to day lives. I have seen many times how our interventions can make a significant difference to someone facing seemingly unsurmountable challenges, which starts a process towards recovery."

Emma Craig

Emma Craig

Clinical Lead, Counselling Service

"I have a long interest in the provision of quality counselling and psychotherapy for women and I also very much value the contribution complementary health therapies can make towards a person's health and wellbeing. So I really enjoy working here at Women and Health where I can combine my interests in both counselling and complementary therapies."

Honey FoxwellHoney Foxwell

Reception and Admin Manager

"Because the women who use our services always come first, I have to plan my working days around what happens in reception. It can be really busy one moment and quiet the next. So you never know in advance how your working day will pan out. I also liaise with builders in regards to any maintenance works. We have a lovely outside space at the back of the building and I am keen that we create a beautiful garden there."

"I came to London from DR Congo in 1998, and have worked at the centre since 2003. I love being at the centre and how we help the women here. I like to do the cleaning late in the evening when there is nobody in the way, whilst listening to my gospel music on the headphones. Working here has helped my self-confidence, and I have just completed my training to be a dinner lady at a nearby school."

Fariba MalekniaFariba Maleknia

Finance Admin Officer

Fariba holds a CIPFA Certificate in Charity Finance and Accounting (Chartered Institute of Finance and Accounting), and BA in Accounting from Mashhad University, Iran. "I have been with W+H since 2005. I enjoy working with figures, but I am not as serious as I look in my picture!"

Sonya is a member of the reception team at W +H, and she also takes responsibility for updating our website and Facebook pages

"I have worked here for a few years now and really enjoy learning something new every day. I have become very interested in essential oils and all the different benefits they have, both on a physical and emotional level, and I'm lucky enough to work somewhere where I can pursue those interests!"

Camilla NunnCamilla Nunn

Counselling Administrator

"I started volunteering at Women and Health as part of my university placement and have since become a member of the team. I have a keen interest in health and well-being as well as natural nutrition and understand the need for more holistic approaches, including the body, mind and emotions. It is very rewarding to see our clients feel better and look happier after their time here and also to be a part of such a wonderful team of women."

"Austerity measures over recent years have resulted in nationwide cuts to social, community and support services of 27%. The figure is 31% for services aimed at women.
In the face of these cuts and growing need, the team at Women and Health - and our practitioners, counsellors and volunteers - continue to make a huge contribution locally to the health, the strength and the power of Camden women which ultimately benefits not only them, but also their children, extended families and communities."
