Home Visiting Service
This project provides a range of therapies at home to women who are housebound due to disability, poor health, old age or caring responsibilities.
Following an initial health assessment by the project coordinator, eligible women carers may be offered a personalised package of up to 4 home sessions.
Fees: agreed in advance with the Coordinator, based on a sliding scale according to household income and circumstances.
Volunteer Befrienders Service
Our existing Home Visiting service enables housebound women to benefit from a tailor made treatment package of 6 complementary and alternative medicine sessions. The aim of the new befriending service is to provide housebound or isolated women with regular visits from a trained volunteer, and an opportunity to focus on their own health and well-being as well as reconnecting with the local community.
You can self refer to the Volunteer Befrienders Service by calling Women + Health on 020 7482 2786 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can ask any professional or service that is supporting you, or the person you care for, to contact us to make a referral on your behalf.
