Fusion Therapeutic Massage, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy Massage
Tuesday 10:00 - 13:00
Fusion Therapeutic Massage
This massage is a combination of different techniques and approaches to bodywork I have developed following my training, experience and knowledge gathered from my teachers.
These therapeutic sessions incorporate holistic and deep tissue techniques, lymphatic drainage, and ayurvedic massage (Abhyanga and Ayur yoga). I can also include healing in my sessions.
In each session, and initial consultation will give me some clues about what kind of work will be most beneficial for you, depending on your actual state of mind and body, the expectations you bring in, and what may have worked best for your in past treatments. I am guided by my intuition to work on an emotional and energetic level; by bringing full awareness I try to feel where there are any blockages and bring my intention into releasing and restoring the flow of energy.
My aim is to make you feel safe, comfortable and again in peace with your body, to try to bring your mind into a relaxing and joyful state, and provide you a space where your whole being can naturally heal.
Massage during pregnancy is a wonderful way to cope with any issues related with the transformation that both body and mind pass through during this amazing time in a women's life. Massage can help to reduce the aches and discomfort related to the changes of the body as muscles and ligaments stretch and posture adjusts to accommodate the baby. It is also a very good way and opportunity for the woman to be more aware of herself, and connect her body and her baby.
By being aware of the body and what is happening during these months, a woman can feel empowered, less fearful and more confident. Regular massage can also assist in preparing the body for birth. This massage is safe to perform at any stage of pregnancy with the proper adjustments on techniques and posture. The massage is performed on a futon on the floor, which provides safe and optimal support for the body, especially during the final weeks of the pregnancy.
About the practitioner
I qualified as a massage therapist in 2013 and since then I have been working, studying and exploring different massage techniques, among them Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Lymphatic Drainage and Traditional Indian Massage. I am passionate about bodywork, the connexions between body and mind, and the power of transformation provided by touch and care. My yoga practice and my journey as a mother helps me to deepen my work and to approach each client non-judgementally with empathy and compassion.
My work is a combination of theory, practice, and intuition which helps me direct my energy and intention where I feel that is more needed. I tailor every treatment to my client's needs with consideration for the emotional and physical space she may be in at the time: this is why the first consultation is so important - it helps me to understand and empathise with the client.
I have experience working as a therapist in different settings and with a wide range of different people.
Pregnancy and motherhood are some of my principal areas of interest.
